Sometimes emotions can destabilize or overwhelm us and cause fear and trouble. In Contemplative Psychology, how ever, our approach is that emotions, even the ones we regard as problematic, are in essence pure energy.
Pure Energy
We can use them to develop our capacity to relate to ourselves gently and fearlessly. If we perceive an emotion directly, without acting it out or suppressing it, we can find access to tremendous strength, intelligence and compassion towards others, and contact the wisdom inherent in the emotion.
